John Q. Stang
Prior to joining Lindsey & Company, John worked in private equity as an operating partner specializing in industrial manufacturing. In addition, he has over 30 years of experience leading and assembling high performance teams in public sector Fortune 500 companies achieving record results.
John began his career at Ingersoll Rand Company progressing through various roles of Sales and Marketing leadership in their Construction and Mining Division. He led their new product and sales development for the European, Middle East and Africa region for IR’s air compressor group before returning to the US to run their North American Sales for Distribution and Direct Retail Operations.
Following his career at Ingersoll Rand John was corporate officer and served in the role of President Metalworking Solutions and Services Group for Kennametal Inc. responsible for operations worldwide, including over 10,000 employees and 45 manufacturing sites comprising more than $1.9 Billion in revenue. Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT) is a leading global supplier of tooling and engineered components consumed in production processes. Companies producing everything from airframes to automotive blocks, from medical implants to oil and gas pipelines and from turbochargers to motorcycle parts.
In addition, John worked for a UK public company and was President and member of the Executive Committee of Morgan Advanced Materials N. A., an advanced ceramic and carbon insulation solutions company. Morgan Advanced Materials plc (LSS: UK:MGAM ) is an advanced materials technology company that provides highly engineered solutions to markets from medical instruments, aerospace, power generation and satellite communications, to body armor, trains and fire protection systems. Morgan’s products are fundamental components or enabling technologies for many of the modern world's most sophisticated products operating in extreme environments.
John has lived and worked on two continents and has extensive experience in building effective organizations with global processes and local execution. Mr. Stang holds a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Loyola University in Baltimore.
